Proofing
Process
After scanning
the film or digitally capturing the original painting, the next step
is making a proof. This is the process of matching the Iris print to
your vision or to the original.
We perform
several color corrections to ensure that your image is exactly the way
you want to have it. We produce an 8"x10" Iris print as a
proof and send it to you for evaluation and comments. If there are any
changes to make, we perform the corrections until you are completely
satisfied with the way your Iris print looks. When the proof is approved
by the artist, then we are ready to start making your final Iris prints
according to the size you requested. An advantage of Iris prints is
once we have the proof that is ready for final prints, every single
Iris print of that image will be exactly the same. This allows us to
print your image as few as one sheet at a time even months apart but
your Iris prints will still look exactly the same.
